Condensation Control

Condensation is responsible for many significant dampness problems in residential buildings and Kenwood's range of services can include treatment of condensation.

Many properties, especially flats suffer from condensation, resulting in mould growth. Mould problems, particularly in tenanted flats can result in significant problems with mould growth on furnishings, walls, ceilings and stored items.

Mild cases of condensation can be alleviated by the occupants managing the moisture production, ventilation and heating levels.

Simply covering pans when cooking, opening windows and avoiding drying clothes indoors can be helpful.

However in order to provide a more reliable solution and especially in situations where the owner of the property does not occupy the residence, the most effective method of preventing condensation is to improve the air quality, to remove the damp laden air and ensure a supply of fresh filtered air in the property.

Kenwood Plc., have a range of condensation control solutions, from single room treatments, incorporating heat recovery ventilators to full positive pressure ventilation systems, which displace and dilute moisture laden air and ensure air circulation within the property.

Our condensation control systems involve minimal disruption to the occupants and are installed using specialist diamond cutting equipment in conjunction with high efficiency dust extraction systems to minimise dust nuisance during installation.

Most installations are completed within one day. An improvement in the air quality will be apparent immediately following the installation. After around 14 days, the mould will dry to a powder form which is normally removed by washing.
