The Property Care Association (PCA) is the leading trade body for the UK’s building protection industry. PCA membership operates across various sectors to cover damp proofing, timber treatment, structural waterproofing, basement conversion, and related remedial works.
Primarily, the PCA exists to tackle the most dangerous and, sometimes, invisible hazards that affect property structure and integrity. Damp, rot, and moisture issues can sometimes be misdiagnosed and treated improperly, leading to further damage and spread of these problems.
In response, the PCA works to raise and enforce professional standards across the industry, giving consumers confidence that their homes are in the hands of an expert who can properly diagnose and treat the hazard.

At Kenwood, our team is PCA-accredited (membership number: 5359), having undergone technical training and earned certifications in damp and timber diagnosis and treatment. We are expected to carry out surveys and diagnostic work honestly and objectively under PCA compliance, holding appropriate public liability insurance to protect our customers.
We have over 40 years established in the business, attending 20,000 properties on average each year. We acquired our full contractor membership with the PCA in 2003, and have continued training with them over the years. With our PCA accreditation, we maintain our reputation as a trusted contractor for damp proofing and timber treatment in South East England, London, and the Home Counties.

The British Wood Preserving & Damp Proofing Association (BWPDA) is a primary UK trade body for specialists in timber preservation, damp control, and structural waterproofing. We became members of the BWPDA in 1999, before it formed with the PCA in 2003. As of 2006, it dissolved as an active standalone body, and was fully integrated into the PCA.
