Kenwood have just completed extensive treatment for rising dampness. Various walls were affected by rising damp because of a defect in the original damp proof course; we have injected these walls with a chemical damp proof course. Many walls also required the use of our specially formulated tanking system where the external ground level was higher than the internal floor level. In addition to this treatment our specialist noted that there was decay to the flooring timbers within the bedroom. This was due to a lack of sub floor ventilation and to prevent this problem occurring again we have replaced the floor with a solid concrete slab. To complete this through treatment we have used our tanking system on the new floor to provide a fully comprehensive treatment for this family home.
