Woodworm Treatment to Spitalfields Gallery
Woodworm Treatment / Completed: 1 Jun 2015
Kenwood have just completed woodworm eradication work within a contemporary art gallery in Tower Hamlets. This building was built around the 1690’s on land that was previously a weapons practice ground. In the 1750’s the building were transformed into luxury shops in the Rococo style.
The building consists of two galleries with the flats above being used by visiting artists and curators as well as for specialist exhibitions. Treatment for woodworm was required to the upper floors. Utilising Kenwood’s specially formulated water-based preservatives, the treatment required only minimal disruption and the property to be vacated for 1 hour after the application.
