Damp Proofing, Tanking and Woodworm treatment

Basement Tanking / Damp Proofing / Woodworm Treatment / North London / Completed: 24 May 2016

Kenwoods have just completed a treatment for rising damp and wood boring beetle infestation in North London. The property was built in the 1880’s. We have injected a chemical into the brickwork to create a damp proof course and replastered the walls to remove the old salt contaminated plaster.

Treatment was required to walls within the ground floor of the home incorporating a tanking system to. Tanking is used where the external ground level is higher than the internal floor level. This prevents moisture pushing through the brickwork into the wall. Kenwood extensive treatment included woodworm treatment within the roof space; this is achieved by spraying all accessible timbers with an insecticide. Kenwoods insecticide has been granted a 1 hour re-entry status allowing Kenwood to cause the bare minimum of disruption during works.
