Dry Rot Eradication

Rot Treatment / Completed: 4 Mar 2024

Following a leak from the garage next door, Dry Rot was affecting an area under our clients living room floor. Dry Rot can occur when timbers are in contact with damp masonry and a leak can often be the cause. Treatment for this issue involves cutting out all affected timber and remove from site for destruction. The walls are irrigated and the oversite sterilised using a fungicide to eradicate fungal spores. The walls are then re-rendered and plaster finished ready for redecoration. For this particular job, as the sub floor could not be adequately ventilated, we replaced the floor in concrete to prevent further issues occurring.
