This recent project just completed by Kenwood’s has entailed the damp proofing and tanking of many walls, as well as the waterproofing of a vaulted under pavement area and the laying of a new waterproof floor screed within. This lower ground floor flat was suffering from dampness requiring the installation of a new chemical damp proof course, coupled with the use of our specially formulated tanking system where ground levels are higher than the internal floor height.

Within the vaulted area we have installed a waterproof fillet strip between the tanked walls and new floor slab, following which the tanking is extended to include the floor and a waterproof floor screed laid. The treatments used included removal of the gloss paints from the walls ready to receive the waterproofing, the application of Kenwood’s Basement Render System, tanking with Kenwood SWS followed by our waterproof renders and a plaster skim finish.

The basement is now dry and covered by our 10 year guarantee.
