Dry Rot Eradication in Cricklewood

Rot Treatment / Cricklewood / Completed: 7 Apr 2014

Dry Rot Eradication in CricklewoodKenwood’s have just completed a major Dry Rot (Serpula Lacrymans) eradication in the Cricklewood area of London. Dry Rot is caused by timbers being in contact with damp masonry (brickwork) and a lack of adequate ventilation, adequate ventilation would ensure that the walls remain dry and the likelihood of an outbreak is reduced.

In order to provide an effective treatment Kenwood’s have removed the affected timber flooring and replaced these timbers using new pre-treated timbers isolated from the brickwork. The walls then need to be irrigated in order to eradicate the Dry Rot from the brickwork to accomplish this we injected a Fungicidal Dry Rot killer. With these areas treated and the outbreak under control the new owners can move in without worrying about a further outbreak in these areas.
